Together against gender-based violence

Benetton Rugby recently unveiled the team’s new second jersey
for the 2023/2024 season, created in synergy with the City of Treviso and
sponsors to raise awareness of the issue of gender-based violence. Passion for sports,
social commitment, corporate awareness and responsibility converge in
this project to promote positive change, in a concrete way.
The initiative involves fundraising in two phases. In the first one, on the occasion of the
match that Benetton Rugby will play on December 16 against Perpignan, part of the
proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Casa Luna in Treviso, a
ready-made center for women victims of violence. Not only that, during the event,
Anti-Violence Centers will provide information on the issue. The
video “Te lo dico sottovoce,” a project of the Violence Prevention Operational Unit
of the City of Treviso, will also be screened at intermission.

The second phase, at the end of the 2023/24 sports season, will see the pink
jersey worn by Benetton Rugby players auctioned off, and the proceeds will be
donated to Casa Luna and the 5 CAVs in the province of Treviso.
This very jersey, made in collaboration with Eat Pink, is a
tangible symbol of commitment against gender-based violence. The unique design incorporates distinctive
elements, including the color pink, which, in addition to recalling the Emilia-based company, represents
the fight and support for victims.

The company, which specializes in quality food and the promotion of a
healthy and balanced lifestyle that also includes sports and care, in the broadest sense,
of people, joined the initiative with several objectives: to raise awareness of the issue
of gender-based violence, to raise funds, but also to demonstrate the active role that
businesses can play, for a lasting impact on society.
