In an ongoing effort to combat food waste, Eat Pink Srl recently made a significant donation to La Finestra del Sole ODV Association. This donation consists of 110 kilograms of herb fillet, contributing substantially to the community’s efforts to reduce waste and support people in need.
With this donation, Eat Pink reached a total of 1276 kilograms of wasteful products recovered. This milestone is equivalent to the distribution of 2552 equivalent meals, which were made available to those who need them most, thus demonstrating the importance of responsible management of food resources.
The environmental benefits of these initiatives are significant. Thanks to this donation, 10797 kg of CO2, which would otherwise have been emitted into the atmosphere, was saved. In addition, 20514 m3 of water was saved, a valuable resource that is often neglected in food production processes. Finally, the donation helped preserve 31311 m2 of soil, reducing the environmental impact associated with food waste production and disposal.
These results are an integral part of Eat Pink’s anti-waste policy, which is committed to reducing food waste through strategic donations and partnerships with associations such as La Finestra del Sole ODV. All of this was accomplished with the support of the Regusto platform, which facilitated the donation process, making it more efficient and transparent.
We invite everyone to visit Eat Pink’s sustainability page www.eatpink.it/sostenibilita where our progress and initiatives in sustainability can be seen. Eat Pink Srl will continue to pursue these goals, always looking for new opportunities to reduce food waste and support communities through conscious donations and sustainable actions.
