Acqua Eat Pink: new look for a special project

Acqua Eat Pink: new look for a special project

From the heart of the Apennines to sustainable packaging designed for our employees, now in the company’s iconic and winning hues: pink to represent the “Già Cotti” line and light blue for “Quelli Teneri.”

The collaboration between Eat Pink and Acquainbrick, a start-up promoting cardboard water consumption, continues. The result is a sustainable, 100 percent recyclable water carton in 2021, chosen because of the company’s strong desire to take increasingly sustainable paths with regard to consumption and work space. Let’s learn more about this virtuous product, available in Buonristoro corporate vending machines:

The content

Extremely pure water, a source of life, flowing from the nearby mountains of the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines.

A raw material made microbiologically pure, thanks to a modern three-stage production system-osmosis, remineralization and microfiltration-that makes our water contamination-free. In line with the growing attention to what we consume, we have indeed decided to offer our employees a safe, sustainable and traced product.

The container

A 100% recyclable pack composed of three materials from certified sources:

  • Cardboard: main component, it is what gives shape and rigidity to the pack. FSC responsible forest management certification ensures its responsible sourcing.
  • Plastic: prevents moisture from entering the package and preserves the organoleptic characteristics of the product. The plastic we use originates mainly from vegetable polymers certified by Bonsucro, the association dedicated to reducing the environmental and social impact of sugarcane production.
  • Aluminum: is a thin barrier, less than the thickness of a hair, that prevents oxygen and light from entering the package. This keeps the water fresh longer.

These three layers together form the Tetra Pak, of which our cartons are made. Added to them is the cap, which is totally plant-based as it comes from sugar cane.

The mission statement

Every action we take has an impact on the environment in which we live, especially everyday materials, packaging, tools and utensils. Most of them are composed of substances derived from nonrenewable sources, meaning that to create them we “consume” a part of the environment that will never come back.

The resources on Earth are not infinite, so it is good to take precautions and get help from technologies to solve this issue. Eat Pink does this by choosing 100% sustainable packaging for its water, instead of the classic plastic bottle. With it, it reduces the use of fossil plastic, using 76 percent raw material of plant origin: trees and plants that can regenerate, and also absorb CO2. Usually, the greater the amount of renewable materials in a product, the less impact it will have on the climate. This and many others are just small but important steps to give a longer-lived, cleaner future to our Planet and the generations that will inhabit it.

All the freshness of the product with a clear focus on innovation and sustainability-this is Eat Pink water.
