MARK 2023

MARK 2023

Marca, Italy’s largest trade fair dedicated to private label, held in Bologna on January 18 and 19, has just concluded. Once again, it was an important opportunity for Eat Pink to establish new and interesting contacts with customers and suppliers and to strengthen already strong ties.

Marca, now in its 19th edition, is a unique event to touch products and meet buyers from major chains: the excellence of Made in Italy is on display in a valuable international showcase.

Marco Falceri, director of Eat Pink, tells us what this important participation has meant for the company based in Carpi of Modena.

  • Eat Pink is fresh off an excellent experience at Marca. As a director, how important do you think it is to participate in an event like this?
    • Marco Falceri: Marca was indeed a great success for our company. It is an event organized with remarkable professionalism, which gives the opportunity to get in touch with the most important players in the sector. Moreover, the comparison that is created with other realities like ours is truly stimulating.
  • How were Eat Pink’s unmistakable pink packs positioned within a trade show that features hundreds of different products on display?
    • Marco Falceri: Once again our pack and colors impressed everyone. The pink that recalls our “lean pink meat” attracts customers and operators, because you know, you eat first with your eyes. That said, the great quality of our products, 100% Italian, which won the palates of everyone who stopped by our booth, should not go unnoticed. In particular, the sliced tender loin was a great success.
  • It has been known for some time that Eat Pink has been involved in social work to combat food waste. Was there a way to address this issue on this occasion as well?
    • Marco Falceri: Certainly, already in the past few months we have joined various initiatives of Regusto, the platform that deals with connecting producers and realities in aid of those most in need, successfully donating many meals.
Also at Marca, we decided to convey this mission by donating to Caritas of Bologna all the products left in the display fridges. As a company, we believe that donating to those most in need and at the same time fighting food waste and environmental pollution are the foundations for a more supportive and sustainable present and future.
